COOLTEC was developed as a result of cooperation between the world of technology and the medical environment as an innovative solution presenting a completely new approach to the problem of male infertility. The company was established in Wrocław in 2016, by a group of men and for men, combining the knowledge and experience of graduates of the Wrocław University of Technology and the Warsaw and Wroclaw Medical Universities, in the duty of a very precise mission: “To help men become fathers.”
The main goal of COOLTEC is to create and supply the highest class medical devices supporting non-invasive infertility treatment for men.
COOLTEC company makes every effort to ensure that the

Infertility
Infertility as
a civilization problem
In recent years, the number of couples requiring infertility treatment has risen rapidly in developed countries. At the same time, there is a significant decrease in male semen parameters. Infertility has been recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a social disease and an important medical problem. Infertility is diagnosed when after a year of cohabitation couples have not conceived the baby. Only in Poland infertility affects about one million couples. According to the study, 85% of women are pregnant during the first year. This means that infertility affects up to about 15% of couples, with half of them having problems on the male side.
The main causes of male infertility are low quality semen and sperm production disorders. Semen analysis may include: sperm reduction (oligozoospermia), sperm motility (asthenozoospermia) or spermatozoa (teratozoospermia). The study by andrologist allows the diagnosis of varicocele, which are one of the most common causes of male infertility.

High testicular temperatures
and male infertility
Disorders in sperm production are most commonly associated with elevated testicular temperatures. The outer position of the testicles causes their temperature to be 1-2°C lower than the temperature inside the body. This makes sperm production (spermatogenesis) occur properly. Varicocele are associated with reverse flow of hot blood from the abdominal cavity and elevated temperature of the scrotum. Elevated temperatures result in the death of cells from which spermatozoa are formed and further stages of the spermatogenesis process. Because of this, the quality of the semen from superheated testicles decreases.
In the case of too high testicular temperature, the effect on male fertility is due to tight-fitting underwear, frequent use of sauna or spending many hours behind the wheel or in front of the computer.
